Grow, Cook, Dye, Wear, form seed to style, the sustainable way, out with DK, April 2022 (UK) May 2022 (worldwide)
Grow, Cook, Dye, Wear is a journey. A journey from seed to plant, from harvest to delicious vegan dishes, utilising the cooking waste to create natural fabric dye, and, finally, full-size dressmaking patterns and illustrated instructions to create your own Onion dress, Nettle duster, Rhubarb Bolero, Blackberry Shirt(dress) and Cabbage shorts. Five crops, five recipes for each and five garments in an endless variation of ravishing shades.
Grow, Cook, Dye, Wear is also about my journey. It’s about the joy and creativity I found in the quest to practice fashion more sustainability. It’s about falling in love with a patch of soil in North east London and everything that grew in and around it: vegetables, fruits and flowers, friendships and a deep sense of community.
It's a practicle guide to creating your own circular economy, written as a memoir of sorts. Photography by Julius Honnor and Illustartions by Geffen Refaeli.
